First, the disclaimers and legalese… This buyer’s guide refers to kids footed pajamas. We have a separate buyer’s guide for adult footed pajamas.
Why? Children’s sleepwear sold in the U.S. is subject to flammability requirements set forth by the Consumer Product Safety Commission. Adult sleepwear is not subject to these requirements.
What does this mean? It means that children’s footed pajamas (in sizes larger than 9 months and up to a size 14) must be flame resistant or snug fitting. The kids footed pajamas that we sell are loose fitting and therefore must be flame resistant. The footed pajamas for kids that we sell are made of polyester, which is flame resistant. There are flame resistant cotton fabrics on the market, but we don’t sell footed pajamas made of this material.
So what else do I need to know about kids footed pajamas? Our kids footed pajamas come from a variety of manufacturers. All feature slip resistant feet and zip up the front. We don’t carry any drop seat footed pajamas for kids. Our kids footed sleepers are over sized for comfort.
How warm are our kids footed pajamas? All of our footed pajamas for kids are intended for cool or cold weather. They are generally made of fleece-like polyester. We don’t carry any lightweight footed pajamas for bigger kids.
